Box for a safari? Thats great news!! But I don't really trust Tata's tolerance levels. I'l wait till someone has tried it.

Then maybe it just works like the Tri-Phase. Fooling the ECU into thinking there is much cooler air. Though I have heard a lot about it I guess someone from the forum (khaadu or ishaan??) have mentioned it before. And there were not many good reviews about it.

Also Pete's works by changing the duration for which the injectors are firing. Amongst other things.

I was just reading the info BUSA posted regarding module. I doubt it will do any wonders like the tri phase...

Hahaha, but in tata's case it will most likely be....fit this and watch your bolts fall off!

Works for the Hyundais, so theoretically it should work for these too.

If that flywheel spins any faster than 3000rpm I reckon the entire safari will spin the other way

AFAIK Pete's is not planing to launch a box for the Safari since the engine is not strong enough to cope up. Maybe with the 2.2 we can get additional 30 bhp = 170bhp Safari with 350NM

No, it's because the R&D is not done in India. The 3 litre block is built tough, Indian Army tough.

tsk: You don't need it to spin faster than 3000 rpm, though it anyway does in some gears. IIRC. You need it to spin faster to 3000 rpm.

The Air Intake Temp sensor is basically a thermistor. The resistance of the coil changes as the temp. increases or decreases. This device mentioned below for 999 is simply a fixed value resistor which always tells the ECU that the air intake temp is 15-20 deg. due to which the fuel injected is higher resulting in the 5% increase in Power.

Cheerss

If I'm not wrong this is the same chap/company who used to advertise in the back of ACI claiming a power increase of 20-odd bhp with a Rs. 1250/- chip sometime back.

Let's see what KP/Low Bhains boy come up with, or maybe I'll find sometime to go down and have a look sometime later this week.

Please do that and update us if this "box" is actually worth going in for.. and for 35G it better be worth it.
