Didn't Ford OEM's sporty steering wheel satisfy you?

Ramie,

As Absar pointed out Ikon comes witha very good sports streeing why do you want to think of other alternate?

You will not find the correct hub for the ikon ..So dont think about changing it. OE steering is good enough

I am having the old ford ikon 1.3 and the smaller steering wheel came in after a long time, though its very boring to drive with the stock steering wheel, but now i dont care as it will be sooner replaced with a new car in D-segment range

OK, yes the sport streeing came when SXI version in Ikon was launched and post which the same was continued for Flair now.

In case u r opting for new car enjoy the current car as much as possible...

I feel you should continue using the current steering wheel instead of looking a new one. The existing steering wheel looks ok and is pretty good in manouvering.

Yeah! I did have a plan of changing my steering wheel like before I got my car, but once I got it, I loved the small sporty steering wheel and I dropped the idea. I'm happy sticking to the OE steering wheel. Sourcing one to match the hub would be a difficult task indeed!

If upgrading soon, then best to stick to your OE steering wheel and enjoy it to the max.

Sports steerings are universal for most cars but the hub's are not. You can also get good steering wheels for as less as 2.5k but the quality of "leather" used will not match to the more expensive counterparts. And for 10k you obviously are paying for the brand name.

My sports steering cost 2.5k inclusive of hub and fitting charges and i havent faced any issues with comfort till date.... and I am not a brand guy.

Check with any local accessory shops. They might have the ikon hub's in stock as I have seen a few ikon's in blore with sports steerings.

the major issue of changing the steering wheel in ford ikon is the HUB which is very difficult to find as usually cars have a NUT over the Stud while opening the steering wheel, but ford ikon has a Stud Bolt over it which i think is about 2inch and the major issue is the light/wiper switch stick on the opposite sides of other cars.

Though the ford ikon steering is comfortable, but sports steering wheel has a different feel while driving with the OE ones.... cheers
