MP3 player and Lights

Hi Bhpins,

I am regular member of Team-BHP from long time and I think this is the best place to get answers of all your auto related queries,
I have 2003 Zen VXI (MPFI engine) it has a Casset player and 4 speakers ( Pioneer )I want to put cd /mp3 player to my car plz suggest me which one shd I get install, I intend to spend 8/9 k for this, Also as my speakers are in good shape I intend to use those only, is it advisable to do ?? I heard that Kenwood cd player is good and it will cost me 6k, is this a better bet ?? if you thinks there are better options plz give me your suggestions,

Also wanted to install Blue color lights ( I don’t know what it is called ) under my zen, what does it called ?? how much it will cost me also will it take extra power from my battery ?? will my car get over heated if I keeps that on for long time ??

Plz help me to solve above queries

Thx in advance.

Regards,
Jitendra

Hi nicejits,

Well for HU u have different options like PIONEER, JVC, BLAUPUNKT and SONY (new ones seems good). Yes if you feel speakers are in a good condition then use them there will be no problem.

For 9K budget there is a JVC DVD HU which can play DIVX movies and have a lot of features. If you just want to play MP3, Audio CD's and WMA you can either go for lower model and look at pioneer as it has more preouts (3 in almost all the models) to support sub at later stages easily.

Those underbody lights are called Neons. Ya they will take power from your battery if your car is not started. Car wont get overheated and costs are like 3k but not sure.

More ICE suggestions you will get as soon as the gurus hit this thread so watch out.

P.S. Some may even hanky-panky your thread.
