Esteem Suspension

I need to know how can we improve the suspension of Esteem for better city rides..within a minimum budget... what are the options and if i can get the cost as well would be great.... the current suspension is ok.. but i want to enhance it a lil bit.. so am looking in that direction..

You mean, u want a suspension for the bad roads right? aka soft suspension. If thats what u want then it will increase the body roll & your car's handling will go for a toss.
I would say its better to stick to the stock suspension...Also Dont think there are good enough mechanics in Delhi who can tune the suspension as per your needs.
If there's a good budget & u want to improve the complete dynamics of the car then u can think of Koni's

@invincible7: I would advice you to PM Psycho, he had fine tuned my Esteem
suspensions and it worked wonders for me.

Cheers

invincible7: You can get the suspensions hardend depending your comfort level, this will help you in cornering and also will be able to take some ruff roads comfortably(cost will be around 6k). other option is Kony, this will cost you around 30k for the 4 set but its worth it.

I got my suspensions hardend, Fazal "FRK Racing" did it for me. Am pretty happy with it.

well as of now the suspension is average .. i wanted to improve it.. while keeping things soft as its going to be a city ride always.. moreover Konis are way too expensive and i dont think i need to at this moment... how about adding the front struts .. will that help to some extent.. and what can be the cost... i did Pmed Psyco long time back.. i guess he is busy these days...

I have a few questions:

1) How many km have the existing suspension run?
2) What is the status of the suspension bushes?

This will help in diagnosing and recommending the right approach.

The car has run more than 80K kms.... but its overall a well maintained vehicle.. never had any issues with the suspension... i really cant comment on the suspension bushes as havent checked them but i guess you can make out what conditions they can be after such a long runup..

In that case would reccomend that you just go ahead and get yourrself the complete stock replacement of your suspension kit and bushes. This would solve your problem. Typical problems you will face if you try doing piece by piece is that the handling of the car will never be perfect hence better to do the whole thing in one go.
