Whats a BOV?? And btw, in the highly modded cars in the movies like Fast and Furious and the like and even the racing games like nfs, the cars make some really cool sounds while shifting gears (i guess???)... What exactly is sound because? Pistons? The sound is like the phus phus you mentioned.

A BOV is a Blow of Valve which is used in conjunction with turbo chargers to let out the excess air that is being generated by the turbo. For example lets say that when a turbo charged vehicle is at idle it does not need all the air that the turbo is spooling. So there is a BOV which lets out this excess air.

I guess vikram has explained about the BOV part. a/d/s stands for analog and digital sound. ICE manufacturers just like JBL, hertz, sony, pioneer etc.

A turbo will not spool air at idle..A properly designed Turbo charger need not have a BOV..

A BOV is ofcourse designed to not stress the turbo charger. It works in case the engine does not require the air..

Heee heeeee heeeeeeeee... i wonder what will happen if I get that car to drive on hydbd roads! a clutch dump at high revs and it will take off and the next moment some couple of bikers at least will be fighting for life on some hospital bed.

seriously with that kind of cars you probably will always need either race tracks or else meadows and valleys of far away places. i doubt if it can be my daily drive. i will probably kill people everyday

I dont think the gasket blew, it was some I/E finger or something else though my memory fails to serve me.

Make sure you dont make any plans or booking based on his departure. Old man (we love to call him that) prefers only mid-range and not top end. Maybe if he leaves now we could catch up with him enroute to Leh .

Tunerji, its about time you put up some new pics I say!

ads and that amp( appollo? no, saturn? no, yah! Nasa!)

Once i was driven in his car, was supposed to reach home by 8pm but ended up reaching by 5am after psycho drove me and sankar to mcl's bday bash. Loved his drive more when Sankar was tossed around in the rear.
