While I was busy with the Maroon/Red Cedia, it felt like the white one was staring at me with anger

The Cedia bug has well and truly bitten you.

Can you please share from where you bought the Jap parts? I'm looking for a reliable source for parts for my '96 ST203 Toyota Celica...

For the current purchase I used www.amayama.com
Even https://partsouq.com is a good website to buy parts.

Thank you.

Now that the car is here, the process of buying parts has started. I will be getting the Sports conversion done to this car aswell. But things will happen as and when I get good parts at the rite price.

This variant came with Single Din setup.

So I got this Double din conversion kit.

It will be installed soon.

On 20th May 2025 I ordered Some parts from Aritro (Parts Dive India). He is an Old friend and I have bought a lot of parts from him in the past.
This time it was the OEM Spoiler and Side skirts.

He dispatched the items the next day via Delhivery Courier service. It was supposed to reach Mumbai in 3 days but the package didn't arrive. There was no way to track the package other than the Mobile app. The delivery date on the app kept getting postponed. No proper helpline or customer care service. I was getting worried about the package. All it was showing on the app was "the package has reached the GREATER THANE facility and its "IN-TRANSIT"

On 30th May 2025 My brother and I decided to drive to that Greater Thane godown of Delhivery and get our package. It was a 3 hrs drive (one way) from my place. We reached and shared the details with the staff. Luckily the staff was good and helping even though it took them 2 hrs to locate the package. We had to do some paperwork, some emails and
transport payment to receive the package from the Godown. All of this took 4+ hrs.

Finally we had the Package in front of us.

We loaded the package in the car and left for home.

What a day it was.

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

Congratulations on your new Cedia.

Your updates are just in time.

A neighbour is about to dispose off his 1999 diesel Lancer and few guy came inspecting it. I spoke to him about an hour ago — he confirmed he’s planning to let it go as it’s just occupying space and he no longer uses it.
He offered me his parking if I take his lancer.

He does not stay here, I have seen him starting his car time to time whenever he comes. Today they jump started it with extra battery.

Need your input if it can be maintained in Bangalore. I see some dings outside, yet to inspect it throughly. Are parts expensive ? I can live with delay but cost should be reasonable. Not expecting cheap but also should not be german level expensive.

I live near a few workshops that mostly repair German cars and rarely Toyotas.

Hey!

To answer your question — parts for the Lancer (and even Cedia) aren’t that expensive if you know where to look. Definitely not German-level pricing. Delays can happen occasionally, but overall it’s manageable.

Bangalore is actually a great place to own a Mitsubishi. There's solid support there, and quite a few enthusiasts around. We’ve got specific WhatsApp groups where people regularly share leads and good deals on spares — both OE and aftermarket.

If you’re serious about picking it up, DM me. I’ll help get you added to the groups and also connect you with a few folks locally who can guide you on maintenance and trusted workshops.

Also, that parking offer might just seal the deal!

Thanks for the offer.

Yes, Parking is the main concern for 2nd vehicle, his offer almost made me pay him token money

I got the shocker when checked the RC, It has expired in July 2014.

It was almost a done deal from home ministry until now. Fine alone is coming to 66k for 11 years.

He is quoting around 1L(that's what the OLX guys are quoting) and with parking it was done deal .
I checked with the workshop too and he is ready to check and assured me that lancers are maintainable.

I am now in thinking mode, RC renewal also need some TLC along with Tyres.

Ah, that RC expiry is definitely a curveball — 11 years is a long time off the grid. The ₹66k fine stings, but it's still not a deal-breaker if you're in it for the long haul and the car’s mechanically sound.

Given the 1L quote (which is on the higher side considering the RC status), you could negotiate it down — especially since the seller’s priority seems more about clearing space than cashing out. But as you mentioned he already has a quote from OLX so maybe he won't take anything less than that.

That said, Lancers are definitely maintainable. Your workshop guy is right — mechanically they’re solid, and parts aren’t a nightmare thanks to the active Mitsubishi circles. Tyres, battery, fluids, maybe some suspension TLC and brake work — predictable for a car that’s been idle.

If you're passionate about older cars and can handle a bit of paperwork and patience, this could be a fulfilling project. Plus, with dedicated parking, that’s half the battle won already.

Happy to help you connect with the right people if you go ahead. Just ping me!

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

So as I earlier mentioned, my brother and I picked up the parts (Spoiler and Side skirts) from the Godown of Delhivery courier service on 30th May 2025.

Next day, we unwrapped the packages to check the parts.

The spoiler was in good condition.

Next were the Side skirts.
The left side skirt was fine.

But the right side skirt didn't look good.
The packaging was not done so well.

But we fixed it using the heat gun.

Skirts had some unwanted screws on them. These things are common when you buy used parts. We removed the screws. These things don't bother me as we will be repainting these parts.

But the right side skirt had a Crack that needed immediate attention.

Without wasting time I started repairing it. It was my first time using the Plastic welding kit. You all be the judge.

We managed to have the OEM Spoiler and OEM Side skirts but I was still looking for the Front and rear sports bumper with Skirtings. I almost had a deal with someone from Bangalore but that person sold the parts locally. Maybe he wanted to stay away from the hassle of packaging and shipping.

Anyway, my hunt was ON. Then I came in contact with Aerobee Automotive from bangalore. They also deal in Aftermarket Cedia Body parts. Luckily they had one Sports bumper in stock. I highly recommend their service. They were very transparent during the entire deal. I received more that 20 pictures from them via whatsapp related to the product; rite from packaging to shipping. They made sure the Products were packed properly and firmly.

Sharing a few picture.

You may follow Aerobee Automotive on Instagram (aerobee_automotive)

Now that I got the Bumper, it was time to look for the Skirting. So I called up my friend Sohail (Auto Swag Works). He deals in Fiberglass Bodykits for various cars. He also makes real Carbon fiber parts and if someone doesn't have a budget then he does Hydro-dipping too. Coming back to the story, I bought the front skirt from him.

He does have the rear skirt for cedia but the design is not of OEM. So I didn't buy that.

I am still looking for a rear Sports bumper. Hopefully I will find one soon with rear skirting.

Re: Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more

I had my OZ alloys kept aside at my Factory. It was time to use those.
The alloys were covered in dust.
Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more-whatsapp-image-20250611-4.10.25-pm-4.jpeg

We cleaned them a bit.
Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more-whatsapp-image-20250611-4.10.26-pm-1.jpeg

Took the car to the tyre shop to swap the Tyres and alloys.
Rejuvenating a Mitsubishi Cedia | Additional equipment, parts, maintenance & more-whatsapp-image-20250611-4.10.27-pm-2.jpeg

The Maxxis tyres that were on the OZ alloys were too old even though the tyres had 70% grip while the tyres that came with the car were relatively new and in very good condition so we decided to use those with OZ alloys.

We did change all the Tyre valves.

Wheel Balancing and Alignment done aswell.

We will give the alloys a fresh coat of paint when the car visits the bodyshop for work.

Hi Jassy!
I recently got my hands on a Cedia as well and have run into a problem with the alternator. It's dead and the replacement from a used car also didn't work. I read you mentioning that the parts are cheap if one knows where to look. Could you please help me out with procuring one for cheap?
Also, huge thank you for the thread, I shall be consulting it on a regular basis!

Hi Brother,

That's awesome to hear you've picked up a cedia. Welcome to the club!
Sad to know about the alternator trouble, though. But definitely Fixable.
I can surely help you with a few contacts. Just DM me.

Hi Jassy,
Unfortunately, I cannot DM you since I'm still a baby BHPian.
I would greatly appreciate if there was some other way we could connect. I would also like to join a Cedia owners group if there is any for India that includes NCR.
Also, the alternator issue got solved! We found a scrapped Cedia and took it out of that. It runs well.

Good to know the car is back on road. Finding a good working part from a scrap car is not easy but that's where luck plays the role.
