Latest upgrade to the Octavia. Reverse sensors & 90/100W halogens. Tried the white light ones but am going back to the OE light colour "goldenish yellow" which gives much better visibility.

Both these upgrades are for "making life easier" Night time visibility on the roads is a priority & not banging into pavements while reverseing a neccesity

Cheers
Why white lights less visibility than OE yellow light?Normally white light have more visibilty.

That is true, coz I have checked with both kinds of lights fitted on the car. Sorry I can not provide scientific reasoning, but believe me it is true !!

Cheers

the white lights would have better visibility in total darkness. but when there are streetlights the yellow from them diffuses with the white xenons.

4000k yellow xenons are brighter than 6000k white xenons which are brighter than 8000k blue xenons.... Hope this explains a bit?

I think they were comparing white xenons vs. OE yellow halogens ?

But yes, halogen vs. halogen and xenon vs. xenon, yellow gives higher visibility than white.

Yes thats what i was trying to point out.

Hellspawn: It is generally accepted that the best Kelvin rating for optimal human night vision is between 3800 and 5500 K which is what comes on OE Halogens and HIDs. Anything over 6000 K and the actual lighting output/power reduces exponentially.

Pete's tuning box AND a remap ?? Did not know that is possible. Running 170 Bhp would require a lot more than just a remap. It would probably need internals as well. But anyway great car.

Cheers

My Honda can beat that..pss..just kidding. Good uprgades. Is the 170 claimed after a dyno?? I have the same Sp9000 tyres. Is the grill integrated into bonnet? The horns look ugly though.

You cannot have both the remap and the TB running together. The specs are wrongly written too. Must be the guys at the stall did not know much.

That car runs a Pete's Performance remap at around 130 BHP. Has a Milltek Exhaust, a Forge Front Mount Intercooler with a Carbonio Intake and TArox brakes.

It does not have a Turbo Intake pipe or a diverter valve which is used in only the Petrol cars.

Peter, is right, you cannot do the TB+ the REMAP.

I have gone through the TB and then he removed it and then did the REMAP. A world of difference. Next on my list is the intercooler and the brakes. Not to convinced on the exhaust. Hate the loud sound. It seems nice for a day, later it gets irratiing! IMHO.

Shifted back to normal IOC diesel. The car files with normal diesel. Very sluggish with SHELL super.
