@sanju: how about broadening those racing stripes. they are relatively thin when compared with the car's width.

EDIT: Sorry kiku007 for using your car's picture without permission!
I'd only be happy to see my car going places, Ankit

Those blacked out B-Pillar stickers should cost only Rs.100.

Yes that is, and it looks real hot!

Cyrus, a very good thought there to smoke the tail lights.

Planning for the next set of mods for my car...Need your opinion on the below:

1) how do you actually smoke the tail lamps. It sure looks good though. Budget is a big worry for me, so i would want to know the cost and a place i can get it done in Bangalore. Also is it legal?

2) Painting Brake calipers Red. What kind of paint to use and cost? (again )

3) I really do not want to change the front bumper. My stock fog lamps are not working and filled with mud. and it really looks dirty. I have fixed small rectangular fog lamps instead. That is fixed on either side of the number plate. See here >> Ford Ikon 1.6 ZXI 2002 - sanju.sreekumar's Photo Gallery - Team-BHP
How about cutting the whole thing out and putting a mesh grill there? Also take out the current black grill and put the new Ikon grill (the silver one?)

4) Spoiler. Obvious choice for me. Again cost and variety. I dont want to make holes in the boot to fix a spoiler. Instead want the ones that can be clamped. I saw one in this same post (Evo ones on the black Ikon). Where can i get those in Bangalore?

The above is my wishlist. Hope it comes true one day. But i need all your help for this.

Cheers,
Sanju

I'll try to answer:

1. Many ways available - Read this thread - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...blackened.html
It's basically done by mixing a portion of black paint + clear (depending if you want the glossy or matt look). Cost a few hundred.

2. Many threads available

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...=caliper+paint
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...=caliper+paint
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-a...=caliper+paint

3. Get mesh grill done in the front bumper but do not cut out the fins, rather get the mesh fitted outside of the plastic fins. Mesh in the fog area and the bumper will give a three piece look. You can mesh the front upper grill as well to match the look.
Cost: about 1k

4. Spoiler - No idea, I suggest only OE spoiler!

Sanju, here is your car with the new mesh grille, and clear lens headlamps.

As for your other questions, i would suggest the OEM spoiler for the Ikon, but i guess that would call for drilling holes on the boot lid.

@cyrus
@badboy
I have a silver Ikon too as in the pics above, if you could just smoke the indicator and reverse light leaving the red portion as it is, just wanted to see how it looks that way because i was planning to smoke the lamps too.

Or just a complete mesh on the outside of the fins.
Will try and post pics of my car.

@Ankit i have got them done in black now and they look killer now, far better than the silver Arush painted earlier.
