As this is about pics of various K&N images.. here is my 0950 Universal setup on the baleno.

Stock filter box removed and Flange fitted. (Ozz)

Filter being fitted

(Sorry for the big images.. Photobucket did not give me the thumbnail option and imageshack is down)

The Intake Growl is louder and yummier than I had expected.

YouTube Video

Anybody with K&N on their OHC, could you please post pics too? I have a conical K&N air filter on my OHC, which doesn't look good at all. The filter is right behind the battery, and choked for air.

I bought this over sized lil bucket like filter only for the under bonnet bling, if not would have taken Binz advice for the Channai sourced Ractive.

agentsmith - you may need to get a longer intake pipe and place it elsewhere. I thik I have seen other OHC pics, which I cannot seem to find now .. where its moved away from the battery.

Yupp it was at Ozz One > bought the entire thing for 5.7k at Torque IndraNagar.
Pawan of torque sent me to Ozz one as his boys were running late that morning.

I doubt I would feel pain when it growls as I dont go over 3000rpm it too often. except when alone .. thats the only time I cannot do the tippie toe gas touches.

Our Chennai member, Nitrous has a universal K&N on his Ikon. He would be glad to growl it for you.

@IronWolf: Very nice install. Always envied the Baleno's spacious engine bay - makes for a convenient filter+intake install.
Very tough to get so much real-estate in a Lancer or Santro :(

Thanks Razor.. Thats why I wanted the baleno.. wolf in sheeps clothing, with a lot of flexibility on mods, Also much cheaper than the OHC to buy and maintain. (I may have ruffled a few City feathers here.)

Ohh ohhh 10 mins back coming back from a movie and a OHC tried to keep pace (he and his ugly stickering and spoiler).. tisk tisk he could not

Is the universal k&n the best option in rains and summer? Or is the stock replacement better? Will the universal suck in water during the rains and damage the engine?
