Any progress on contacts/details/brands/prices?!

Spoke to my contact. He says it'll cost Rs 800 for chrome plating the handlebar and front/rear mudguards. It'll mostly be done inside this week.

If you havent then have a look at it..

Alsa Corp | Paints & Additives

They have displayed a chromed Indigo marina..may be a photoshopped work

And here some instructions are given..Sorry I havent read the whole thing..So I dont know if it may be useful?

The chrome paint you guys are talking about doesn't give a true crome affect...it is close though....what you're probably better of looking for is chrome vinyl wrapping....a process where the entire car is wrapped in chrome vinyl. Plenty of race cars have that.....check out the australian autosalon project car...I'll see if I can find pics

There are 2 to 3 different kinds of Chrome paint effects. Stuff is available in the US too. Below are snaps.

wow.. never knew that chrome paint was available in the market. Need to be extra careful about chrome products. As far as i know, electroplated chrome is better than chrome paint in terms of durabality.

ain't that easy buddy.. chrome spraying is a difficult affair.. there are reacting agents, reducing agents and hell lot of chemicals that need to be blended in the right mixture.. hydrochloric acid, stannous chloride, palladium chloride etc..
get these first..
the merc is polished.. you can make out with the finish of the body..

Hi Rehaan,
Metal polishing is also called buffing. A metal brush with fine flexible bristles is rotated at high speed and that rubbed against the metal to be polished. This gives a good shine but does not coat the metal it only rubs off the upper corroded layer of the metal.
