@rishibravo:thanks man.waiting to see the pics.
yes you have to drill two holes.then the stand or support brackets are mounted.the armrest has a storage compartment.
you can easily reach the armrest without opening the armrest.its basically mounted on two stand which are attached on either sides of the handbrake.
ill post a pic to to make it more clear.

@hellspawn: I suppose you meant reaching the parking brake here. Also, does the arm rest interfere with your elbow when shifting gears ? I prefer something like the one in my Civic here. Will post a pic to show what I mean.

yes,sorry.i meant the handbrake.
it doesnt interfere with the gear shifting.you can actually rest your elbow on the armrest and shift gears.
waiting for your pic.

Here we go !

From the picture, you can see that there is ample space between the automatic gear lever and the hand rest. I have shown two positions here. One, with the gear in parking position which is the farthest from the hand rest and the other one where the gear selector is in position 2 which is the closest to the hand rest. The third picture shows how it doubles up as a storage compartment !

This is a simple yet very convenient feature that can be provided by the car manufacturers in India by default. Unfortunately, being Indians, people like you and me get taken for a ride and finally end up doing something of our own as an aftermarket add-on to satisfy our needs.

Ok custom made the mounting bar for the armrest I bought from Noida. The problem i faced was . Either I can make the seatbelt socket easily accessible or the parking braking. I chose in favour of seatbelt socket. will post the pics after the black paint gets dry.
@rr zen.. I totally agree with you. Such a small convenience should be put in all the cars so that we dont have to get to aftermarket stuff
