No point installing high lift cams without increasing the compression. Apexi SAFC Neo will also help to control idling issues.

Only piston needs to be changed to go higher compression, you can even shave the head to get slight increase in compression, btw whats stock c.r of corolla engine?

What cams are those ? are they "bolt on" or "regrind"? If getting bolt on make sure its for the same engine which you have here, there must be various variants for corolla engine abroad, pls reconfirm it before buying. also whats the duration & Lift of your stock Cams?

Stock ecu should work, but i would like to compare the specs of your new Cam with the OEM in terms of lift & duration, the specs you posted i think are of aftermarket cams. whats the spec of OEM CAM ? dur/lift?

No man, that's a screamer. It's the 1.8 on the Celica NA and the Corolla sport or whatever. I think the Solara or something too, which a BHPian has. Puts out like 170 hp.

There aren't any lying around, to the best of my knowledge. Can import them though.

Why waste all that money? Just turbo your car. Corollas seem to respond well to forced induction. The catch will be finding someone who can do it.
