i am using a universal k & n in my baleno....is an universal filter safe to be used in the rainy season...any precautions that should be taken that no water enters the filter hence chances of damaging the engine....should 1 switch to stock filter in rainy season...?????

from what i have gather so far from the forum and all the advise given its best to switch over to stock filter for the rainy seasons

Yeah! Even if you'd use the thin plastic cover for the K&N filter, which K&N has in the market, tiny drops of water would enter the intake anyhow. Best to use the stock filter during the rainy times!
Im sure glad I have the K&N stock replacement filter and not universal filter.
