(1) Most Irritating is OEM Sticker on Some tata Indicas 32 Bit Microporcessor or on SOme Marutis claiming 16 bit. Come on it does not provide any insight to the ECU logic you might be running on those 32 bit or 16 bit processor so totally irrelevent as 32 bit does not mean a more feature packed code.
Also they do not realize that at times a more packed code on a 8 bit microprocessor will have faster response then 32 or 16 bit ( If address space is small for 8 bit) or similarly if ad space is less then 16 bit a 32 microprocessor will be slower.

(2) Chrome detailing on taillights of Scorpios.

(3) Silencer modifications creating racing car noise with an oversized spoiler on Red / Yellow Lancers.

That would have been the Tatamobile. The Ambassadors have this on the boot.

If this gets you, you've probably not seen the FIAT Uno Diesel.

Back to the topic, the most irritating after-market fitments are:

1. Powerful lights (higher rating than OEM)
2. Powerful horns (higher rating than OEM)

I don't care about the others.

Havent you noticed the "A/C - No hand signal" sign on the back of old Amby taxis ? Which basically implies since the car has an air conditioner, all windows are rolled up. And so the driver cant be bothered to roll down the window and signal by hand.

Hmm, okk.. Use the damn indicators maybe? or get power windows fitted?

I agree. How could i have missed this point. And, the beauty is one name is displayed on top left and another on top right corner as if its a marriage card.

Also, the most infamous ones. Dad's Gift, Mom's gift etc.

That is a good catch, spadival! Perhaps the owner wanted to boast about having an AC in his car! And perhaps that was at a time when hand signals were more accepted than turn indicator lights. It acutally reflects on the antiquity of the Amby.

Whats wrong with a tissue box on the dash board? Its not for show, most of the times when we go to office, we are alone in the car and do you expect to reach the rear end of the car to fetch tissues? And flowers are normally kept when they have some idols in the car. Just the way we offer the flowers at home, inside cars too. Plus, there's this nice aroma of Jasmine or any other flower inside the car.

This used to be a rule earlier. And was put to rest when a majority of cars started coming with factory air conditioning. I'm not able to locate the exact rule but will post it when I find it.

Going by your logic, did all FIAT Uno A/C owners want to boast about air conditioning in their cars?

The FIAT Uno A/C versions came with an "Air Conditioned" badge on the tailgate. The Uno diesels were even better - they had "D I E S E L" emblazoned on the doors.

If the ignorant were blessed, some of us would be saints.

Hrag is correct: Actually in those days people expected drivers of Busses\Taxis to give hand signals & with the new features like turn indicators & ac coming in they had to put up a board stating the reason as to why other should not expect a hand signal from them.

Anyways we are seriously OT here.
