Oh dear... I've got bumper strips!

Just seemed like a good idea when I bought the car.

Mind you... now I know, from experience, that Swift bumper is so soft it just bends in anyway.

When I was a kid (1950/60s UK) everything was covered in chrome. It looked good at the time, but needed careful regularl cleaning and polishing. Maybe the Ambassadors of the peiod were like this?

Good you did not take snaps of that horrendous contraption and posted it here. Most of us would have died of shock & awe...The descripton itself is so painful. green lights...yuck..

Tiger skin on dash board
The A pillar had at least 3 tweeters on each side
The music was also played so load that we could only here ching ching.....

Exterior..
Again it was fitted 2 green color tube lights on each side below the middle sliding door which would look like neon lights i believe
There were different color of lights blinking in the place where break lights, indicators, parking lights were supposed to be.
A spoiler with "n" number of blue color LED on them.
Dummy sun roofs.
Full of stickers here and there which obviously is out of the place and meaningless.
On the rear glass it was written "Beat Me If You Can"
Last but not the least blue, red and white LED on the bumpers with may be 1 inch gap between LED's

I don't know weather it was good or bad luck that i didnt have my phone with me or else i would have taken some pics of the van.

How about bluish-white headlights.. seems to be a major trend these days, but looks so sick, with the lavender kinda beam it throws out..

plain white looks way better..

panky 12345: never used, neva will (the reverse horns!)
amitoj : actually, some cars come with a reverse alarm as stock. i think it was one of the tata UVs.. a slight warnin sound (a continous hmmmmmm sorta sound) when you put the vehicle into reverse
but the ones generally used by ppl SHOULD be banned. how can they even think of it!

ot : remember the brake sound alarm on two-wheels? the dhoom song n all

You are right Bunny, there is a continuous beeping sound, not very loud though, in my Safari 4x4 of '98 vintage when the reverse gear is engaged.

I think while many BHPians will have central locking, not that many will have irritating reverse horns.
Those that do, are probably planning to disconnect it after reading this thread lol

I do have (no music only beep) & i have installed a switch so that i can use it only when i really need to. Off late it has totally stopped working even if the switch is set to on.

Whats the relation between central locking and reverse horns?
Anyway, I have central locking, sorry no reverse horns - never felt the need. Reverse lights are just fine.

EDIT: Just realized that you meant the beep (or the siren) made during central locking. Mine is silent one.
