More importantly steer, how does he have TWO seed sowing machines??

I have just one! And that too serves a dual purpose, both for seed sowing and the purging of uric acid.

NOTICE -- How guys go off track ... here I was hoping that tuners wud come up with suggestions like High Lift Cams -- Tuning boxes -- and God only knows what all but instead we have some distinguished people harping about their personal anatomy .... Can't we ever treat my threads a bit seriously

Can we have some serious ideas ... Im sure there is something that I can do to get a bit more of bull power out of the poor engine -- oops , I meant Horse power .

Cheers

You can add a KnN but its going to be quite noisy, though without the KnN its no less. Add a FFE, remove the Catcon, does it have a turbo, if not turbo it.

Best thing is to get a 2.6CRDe engine from the Scoprio and implant it.

It's a old school DI engine...... no tunning boxes....High lift cams may be but you will have to get the pump retuned [ not recommended on a new car]. You can put some kind of cooling system for the intercooler..... Water injection and raise the turbo boost a little bit, Propane injection to increase power....it is addictive but if used one can get some boost in power till the propane tank runs out. "NOTE use a big tank so it want run out soon".
Can put a water spray to cool the intercooler [EVO style] again need to use a boost controller.
I think so this engine block should be able to handle increase in power , If I am not wrong same block is used in the Scorpio.....the old one was mechanical pump and they got 100 bhp out of it.
put an electric fan to the radiator as the mechanical fan is insufficient [ or does this new DI come with an electric fan].
An oil cooler would be a nice Idea to get consistent performance.
May be headers and the intake manifold, both these are of some WW2 style unites.
All these mods should be enough..........

One idea would be to fit an intercooler. The next would be to wait for about a year, throw out the engine and throw in a Scorpio engine. Its a direct fit.

An all-wheel drive independant suspension? Costs definitely.

Irrespective of job, that vehicle should be modified towards being all-terrain, truly. Making it go faster in a straight-line may not be as desirable as it sounds.

Bolero Suspension

Hi Khaadu,
The Bolero is extremely modifiable for the Off-Road Department.

The Suspension has a lot of potential for modification.

1) Increase the suspension height by recambering the leaf spring.
you can gain 3inches under the Gearbox crossmember.
Done it to a Bolero Camper 4WD

2) Spring Over Axle - Front and Rear. This you can gain upto 8inches under the gearbox. I'm trying this on a MM540. requires quite a bit of steering modification.

Regards,

Arka

Spring over axle is fine when one is going to use it only as an off road vehicle, but on road it's pain to drive this type of set, that is the reason Mahindra has shifted to independent system up front. Can try getting the front A arms of the 4wd Scorpio it's independent and will comfortable to drive.

Hi Dinar,
The Leaf Spring Suspension has 2 Basic setup.
1) Spring Under Axles - JEEPs, Gypsys,JONGAS
2) Spring Over Axles - Ford Endeavour Rear Axle, All trucks, M&M FJ Van
Russian GAZ469, Trax Judo & Gurkha Rear.

By making it SOA you free up 3-4 inches above the Wheel.

Hence you can put really tall tyres. 35"-36"

The reason Mahindra shifted to IFS to fool the consumer that they have done something really great and added something new to the Armada Grand!!!!

Drive a 4WD (Solid Axle Bolero) and drive a 2WD IFS Bolero. The Solid Axle Turns much better & Rides much better.

Off-Road Solid Axle is anyday better than IFS.

Regards,

Arka
