Laner Black is slightly metallc.. swift black is solid, even the hyundai black is a very good solid black.. if u wish to go metallic i would suggest the Octavia L&K Black, very very metallic finish.

I think the octavia black is good but how about something more young and rad like a mix of metallic dark purple with black. In this particular colour you see the purple ting only during the day under the sun. You get this colour in dupont. We got this done in one of our friend's esteem few years back. Especially on a lancer with the wide body I think it will look totally cool. But you need to be really carefull about the mixture(very little purple would do the trick). Am not too sure if you get this premixed in dupont or you have to mix it before the paint job.

Well I guess its the quality of the paint job like for example in most cases used car dealers just do touch-ups in which case the paint used and the work done is not of the highest quality. Waves in the paint can be seen in such cases and also the colour used might not be the exact match as the oe paint. In most cases these guys just use the paint over already existing paint coats which normally ends up being a very shabby job.

cheers

Well, I personally love the black paintjob on my Lancer... it just got done today. It is jet black, with no grains, and no tints. Looks much better than the OE black on Lancers IMHO. Got the paint shade from a BMW paint catalogue... paint used was Standox. Will be posting pics in this thread in a couple of days:

You could check that out.

Well had that esteem 4 years back and sold it. But you could ask the dupont distriutors they could guide you. Its basically the kind of mix you want. I would go for more black and just a tinge of purple to make it look unique.

Lancer maniac, the one i was talking about comes on the Octavia L&K, i believe the Laura Black would be almost the same color.
