It wasnot a service, it was a recall to check for ECU wiring. No they didnot come to anything, i had removed it and put it back after the car was back, just took 5 minutes to plug it back

Busa, Pete

Congratulations - sounds great. Couple of questions though:
  1. How long has this been marketed for
  2. Any long term reviews on whether it affects the engine over time
  3. If this was so easy are the manufacturers deliberately underpowering their engines so that they could later put out the higher output motors in "upgrades" or in newer models?
OK - I just read the FAQs at Petes site but am still intrigued as to why if this is so easy, why are not more people using this. Is it being done in a big way abroad?

Here is one post where some at least advise AGAINST these tuning boxes

tuning box yes or no???? - BRISKODA - The Skoda Forum and Community

and one more where users are happy

Tuning Box on Octavia 2.0 TDi - BRISKODA - The Skoda Forum and Community

So whats the final low down on these?

This is great. Do you have more details on the same.

1. Specs and advantages of this filter Vis-a-vis stock filter provided by maruti
2. Does it require any modifications for installing the filter
3. Price and availability in bangalore.
4. Does it void Maruti's warranty.

Thanks.

Dude, if you read this thread, from the 1st post to yours, all details are answered.
I had a word with Pete and the filter would boost bhp by 5-8%; specs on pete's site
2,3, are all mentioned, call up pete's or email them or further details.
4 no.
