Rebuilding my Esteem

Hi guys...

I purchased a second hand 97 esteem lx cheap from the market in feb this year...with the engine just doing about 35000kms, I decided to rebuild my esteem to the latest type4.....not sure why i am doing this...but just that i wanna do it and contribute something to team BHP and also gain some feedback from u guys.....below are the pics of my car when purchases.....will update as soon as work progresses..

Something like what I've done with my Sumo.
Im sure its gonna work out dirt-cheap for the Esteem parts.

saw some guy giving a facelift to an esteem by fixing palio headlights.. it looks sweet..

where are the pics.....it'll be a good project, esteem spare are quit cheap....you'll enjoy working on it.
try upgrading the engine while you are at it....

Ok now this is the pic of the car when i first bought it. Just looks like one below average car, compared to the honda city's and skodas.

The interiors of my car. Bit rusted.however not too bad for a 10 year old car.

So that should inspire you to make it stand head and shoulders above the oh-too-common city's & skoda's

What specific upgrades have you planned on the car? Anything beyond the new Esteem (visually)? There are a few modded Esteems on this forum. You can hunt around for some ideas and inspiration.
And how about performance? Anything in mind?

I am sorry dezmo, this is not an esteem, this is a M-1000. Please check & get back. A M-1000 is certainly not worth the trouble.

I think that the M1000 had that external lock on the fuel lid opener. Isnt that internally operated in Esteems?

Bingo. Only the M-1000 had a key for the petrol lid.
