Xenos Firewall 350 - safety / convenience system

Xenos Firewall 350 - 10000 kms / approximately post-4000 clicks review

Product: Xenos Firewall 350 by PRICOL industries
For features refer: 4 Wheeler Security System

The only security / convenience system that comes with a life-time replacement warranty against manufacturing defects.

Bought from distributor and fit by the authorised technician on my OHC VTEC in May 2006. It costed Rs. 4500 then.

The package contained:
- the central electronic unit
- 4 power actuators for door-locks (used only 1 as OHC has manual central locking already)
- activity light
- reset switch
- hooter / siren
- necessary brackets / screws

This has been working without any issues since then, under daily usage with an approximate usage of 10 clicks per day.

The only issue I had initially was when the vibration sensor (Shock Sensor) was set at its highest sensitivity, even a finger tap on the door / a passing truck with a mighty grunt in its exhaust would trigger the alarm.

Has a progressive alarm,... warn-away beeps first and then the full blast.

Has a nuisance prevention system that cuts out triggers from a specific zone if triggered more than thrice. This can of course be disabled. But useful for those parking in busy areas.

Completely user programmable, the Firewall 350 can be upgraded by adding a trunk release (open dicky remotely) - useful while coming back with loads of shopping alone.

This product, coupled with the Xenos Gear-lock has kept me at peace even while parking in spooky areas.

CARtik,
you will have to buy a trunk release power lock and it involves a bit of wiring right from the Xenos central unit to the boot. that's why i did not choose it. it unlocks and locks along with the other power door locks.

gets rid of the hassle of opening the driver side door and pulling the boot release lever.

a xenos dealer can help you out with it surely.

and they have some other equipment too that are less talked about on their site:
- a device to be installed in the cabin area that emits sound frequencies in a range that can creep under one's skin and create temporary pain when the thief manages to open the door
- and then an option of a hidden backup battery in case the thief manages to deactivate the main battery's connectivity!!!

this was going too much towards a 007 vehicle's specification, so i kept off them all

Is aftermarket central locking/security system install troublefree? I am planning to install one in my getz, which does not have the central locking system. But I am bit scared that it might introduce rattles in the door after couple of months or so.
Please advise me.

Thanks
