The Quest for Perfection:

Exhaust System

.
But, dear friends, this is where I seek your expertise. What mods have you found to be essential for the M2? Are there hidden gems in the world of aftermarket parts that I should be aware of?

Peace of Mind with BFSI Plus:

To fully embrace the M2 G87's potential, I'm planning to opt for BMW's BFSI Plus plan.

Your Insights Needed:

Have any of you experienced the BFSI Plus plan? How has it impacted your driving experience?
What modifications have you found to be game-changers for the M2 G87?
Are there specific vendors or sources you trust for high-quality aftermarket parts?
I am eager to hear your thoughts and recommendations. Your collective wisdom has always been a guiding light, and I look forward to making this new chapter as exhilarating as possible.

Thank you for your time and insights. Here's to many more miles of joy and discovery on the road!

Congratulations on the M2. It is an absolute beast and one of the last remaining pure-bred BMW M cars still available. At least BMW got it right with the looks on this one.

Any info on OTR price and deals? Which dealer did you pick it up from in the end? Could you spec it up with extras or does it only come in one single spec?

Ps. No offense but your post reeks of Chat GPT/AI. Above quote is an example, the writing style and wording is such a giveaway. Akra comes to my mind. But exhausts (sound) is very personalised just like colour. You are lucky to be in Banglore with plenty of options to hear and then decide. Try Racetech once.

Suspension: Upgrading to performance suspension for razor-sharp handling, ensuring every twist and turn is met with precision.
Does it get active dampers or fixed? In case of former, I will probably stick with OE but in case of later, I will browse through some of international forums until someone answer you here.

If your driving is going to be low which I assume will be, better pay and get serviced per schedule. Brakes on most BMW last well and other spares are priced reasonably well. However, you should buy extended warranty by all means. That's what is most important.

We have a fellow member here who used to Track on his M2C. Hope you have gone through his threads (both newer and older variants).

That's what I thought, glad to know my Anti-ChatGPT instincts are working just fine. Cars are quite nice though, love the satin red on the E-Class

I've watched a few videos, and it looks like upgrading the downpipes and at least the mid-pipes is necessary to get a decent exhaust note. I'm a bit uncertain about how loud it might turn out. In my E63s, I went with Renntech downpipes, an electronic valve control system, and blow-off valves. That setup sounds fantastic—no droning at all. It's also quite versatile, being loud when you want it to be and reasonably quiet at other times.

The six-cylinder engine in the M2 isn't known for having the best sound, and the stock exhaust note for the India model is especially disappointing due to the OPFs required for regulatory compliance.

I checked the Akra, seems very expensive compared to the others like Milltek etc.

It comes with active dampers, and I'm considering getting adjustable springs to easily change the ride height.

You are already pretty hands-on with such a thing, so I will leave this to other knowledgeable members. I prefer to keep everything stocks

I don't suggest doing this so early. It's better you use it for a while and then decide. A couple of settings can be adjusted to make the car behave differently depending on the mode via iDrive.

Good luck! Do keep us updated.

I’ve done quite a few of those already, will be sharing my thoughts on them when I find some time to write it up.

G87 M2 is a great platform but does need a few mods to truly extract its full potential.

Your short list is on the right track. I’ve done the MPerformance springs, spacers, magnetic paddle shifters, Akra, lighter wheels, M4CSL camber hubs and few other bits.

Car is so much more fun to drive now.
