Suggestion for paint Job - Rally/GT car style

Another new thread on the forum and hope this turns out to be an interesting topic. and also help us decide on my plan. My friend and I are planning to paint our cars the rally style. Here are some of the pictures of the designs that we want to replicate. The cars on which we are planning to try out on is a Lancer and Alto. For a job like this Autopsyche is our first choice but the distance seems to be a barrier between us. Also let us know if you guys know someone down south to pull of a perfect job.

Do you have any contacts or pictures of work done by these painters from Trichy?

IMO - the pics you provided look a bit LOUD - but the Focus looks much better - why do you wanna do up your black beauty. she looks drop dead gorgeous in her present form.

Interesting bits! Looks like youre finally gungho about the project... i agree, the paintjobs look a little bit over the top for a street car.. u can have a fancy design like that but slightly on the softer side? Let me try to find a couple of pics for you.

Also if you do such a job make sure you have big wheels with fat tyres because on a car with a competition style paint job nothing looks worse than puny wheels & tyres & empty wheel arches.

wow!! really? rally style paint job?? if you can carry it off nothing like it!! but its wayyy to LOUD and MACHO for a daily driver. if you are really interested in sprucing things up mayb you should look at more subtle colours and fewer stripes.

Not just fat tyres and big wheels.... such a paintjob = no effect without a bodykit or skirting!

Arush, flipsyde and iraghava,

Agree with you guys on the design being a bit loud for road car. Keeping that in mind I was thinking of going sober by taking away orange shade(as marked in the picture with a box) entirely and have the entire car in black and carry the design from the rear end of the car. What do you guys think about it now? Without a body KIT its a big no no for a project like this. Wanted to have the design finalized before doing anything on the body. Hence starting off here.

Personally, I wouldn't do up my car in this way. Too loud for my tastes.
But, to each his own.
Looking forward to some suggested styles from Arush

Hey

The car is bound to be an EYE BALL GRABBER...but..it surely needs to be toned down quite a bit. In comparison my Lancer looks SOOOOO Sober !!!
