put in a zen engine.

on a serious note do you already have a high performance air filter and a free flow exhaust? if not then you can start with those.

Arun, just by changing the carb, a high lift cam and headers I do not think you will be able to extend your top end by that much unless your engine in itself will produce power at such high rpm's. If you want more power, I suggest you get yourself a 1.1ltr engine or a zen engine. IIRC, even a esteem engine fits into the engine bay of a 800. If speed is what you need then this would be the best option.

Or do an engine overhaul of the existing 3 cyl engine, check if the compression is alright. Change the oil, do some basic mods and see if you are satisfied. Going by the fact that you do rally, I think a esteem engine in the 800 is what will satisfy you the most.

if performance is ur only goal, then plonk the 5-speed 800/alto's 12 valve head. Use the zen or esteem carb, get a hot cam and header and it will be a screamer. Infact it can give complex to some mid-size cars too.
However, u need to work a lot on upping compression and getting the right state of tune. u can also mount a 5-speed gearbox.
The stock 800 bottom can be retained with the exception of only having to change the pistons to the ones with the 4-valve recess.
