if you travel alone, how about putting the lappy a little away, say in front of the other seat, and using a wireless keyboard. saving your vital organs as well millions of your little sammys.

of course in long run ur neck is going to complain.

I have this little 24" x 16" board that has a "bag of thermacol *****" stuck to one side. The laptop side on the flat side, the "thermacol ball in the bag" sit on my lap. I stuck a rubber mat (similar to the JBL mat but bigger) on the flat side so the laptop does not slip and side. works. practical. can be moved from car to car. cheap.

Dont ask me where I got it. my wife found it. she bought it; i assume she was expecting coffee in bed. I had other plans. :-)

very interesting thought gunbir ! is there a possibility of installing a laptop in the car with the display rigged up to a touchscreen to use it like a carputer ?!
