ive been more than tempted 2 swap the engines on my baleno and swift!! thats cus i only drive the swift and the lack of low end torque is quite irritating frankly! well i guess ill try an FFE and other basic mods before i think of swapping my engine as one of the reasons i like driving the swift is refinement ! its smooth and well balanced and i dont wanna take chances messing that up!

SX4 engine in a Swift is an obvious swap. I'm surprised nobody has done it yet

Don't be surprised, SX4 engines are almost impossible to find!

SX4 engines will be impossible to find for a swap job. Why not consider the baleno engine for aswap? this should also be close fit.I know its the previos G series engine, but when you have enough torque, BHP and PWR who cares?

But it already has 100 bhp. and more over, it is from, newer M series of engines.

The question, is, will it be possible?

sx4 engines are too hard to find and expensive. Can get much more bhp for the same amount of money with other engine options.

Also I am told that a TC is not very workable in a Swift..is that correct ? I know there is a Red Swift running a TC in Delhi, but is it really reliable ? Or does one end up visiting the garage for various issues every other day ??

Thanks in advance

Cheers
Are you reffering to GAURAV GILLS car?

Would you be kind enough to give me the dealers number
and very nice work on the discovery

Go Turbo, thats the best option to get max bang for buck. Swift is a beautiful engine to mod.

if you want a turbo diesel why not go for the swift vdi?? and pete it

i second the braking part, my stock LDi when suddenly accelerated and braked suddenly too, fishtails like crazy if not in a "perfect straight", due to the heaviness at the front, now just be prepared for the same kind of effect after the engine swap! be it a 1.6L or another turbo diesel! i dint say V6 because its almost impossible and impractical!

cheers!
