mods are really cool. are you installing Supercharger? what was the cost for it and how much mileage you are getting after installing these mods? also about the increase in the power?

Phenolic Intake Spacer

Another Mod Added!!

A Phenolic Spacer! It is a thick composite layer gasket that goes between the valve head & intake manifold. Keeps the IM from getting the engine heat soak due to it's low thermal conductivity. It also (by way of it's thickness) increases the intake volume too.

This results in colder air going into the combustion chambers....more POWER & TORQUE!!! i bought it mainly to complement my CAI> (Maybe 2-4 increase in hp).

Here are the pics:

I think a high heat resistant silicon rubber gasket will do the same job as the above mentioned phenolic intake spacer aka gasket at a fraction of the cost!

Will be installed tomorrow! A dyno at the internet shop showed gains of 5 hp. I will be more conservative. I do believe that the IM will be cool to the touch unlike at present.

Is the spacer DIY or off the shelf? Costs?

Thanked: Once

nice list of mods elantra, i really like those stainless steel headers ,they look awsome.can u please mention from where u bought them and for how much.
by the way i would suggest u get rid of the vortex maker cause it is just blocking the airflow more than anything

5hp is unlikely. I think, what it does is, prevents the slight drop in performance after the engine heats up. usually happens 10-15 mins after starting in the morning, it prevents a drop and lets the CAI work to its full potential.

would you put up the link on the thread please?

Yes Shrivz, but this is re-useable again & again & it also increases the IM volume after the injectors (due to its thickness), so the atomised fuel & air get a better chance to mix.
