swift petrol ignition system

hey people

good friend of mine just went MSD on his car
he had the wires already
just put in the blaster coil
soon coming 6 al 2 : which is the ignition control box

i have a swift ; wanted to put in a blaster coil & the wires to start with BUT :::

i recently found out that the swift s ignition system is very differnt as compared to the esteem{thankfully it's more efficient}
but as of now there is no MSD solution for the swift

4 seasons is looking at HKS 's ignition upgrades for the swift::still waiting for info

i am still waiting for my swift service manual should be in my hands by monday

can anybody help me understand the concept of the swifts ignition system???

anybody upgraded the swifts ignition system??
i know you can replace 2 [!] wires on the swift with the MSD zz

that makes no sense to me to do::absolutely none [ according to N1 a few swift owners have done that ]

but any gyaan anyone??

appreciate it

thanks guys

Cyneverdie,

Hi! In my opinion, it is not required in a NA vehicle. If one is going FI (turbo etc), then it becomes a performance enhancer (performance wires with an ignition amplifier will give a better spark to more efficiently ignite the dense mixture). In NA form, the stock ignition system already has plenty of juice.

Of course if you want to go ahead & do it, no problems there!
