I have got a Matize (2002) and have to run and maintain it (for my wife) now my concerned is

1. are spares going to be an issue?
2. Regular service spares (Oil Filter, Air Filter etc.) are available as Service centres?
3. Is Body work possible since it required compete body paint.
4. Where I can get good service in NCR, specially in Gurgaon and Noida?

I have a 1999 Matiz in Mumbai, no problems with parts/ repairs since I go to an ex-Daewoo service centre. With number of Matiz cars dwindling, you should see parts availability as a problem in 1-2 years. At least in Bombay, Matiz cars have become a rarity. Body work is a routine job for any paint shop.

@ vivek_pinkoo:
spares: not sure about availability

air filter, oil filter : available

bodywork: piece of cake, can be done by any regular bodywork shop.

good service in NCR: no idea.

HI.. I own a 1996 ceilo and have no problems about avilibility of the spares. You can get Dwewoo spare part form a single nut to engine block, doors, silencer, tail lamps , head lamps ....... you name it , they have it in sector 16 car market in Noida! Most spares are resonabaly priced and carry "Made in Korea" tag.

As of now there is no spare parts problem in Metros, but in small towns, spare parts for Matiz is not available.

I have read somewhere that the Chevrolet is going to give support for Matiz through their service stations.

See, U have a good car and unless u have a lot of money to burn, please retain ur Matiz.
I too have a matiz and have found that service is not a problem.
All decent car mechanics do the basic stuff well.
Body work is indpendent of make / model.
Zen parts like ower arm etc can be fitten on Matiz.....verified from a damn good mechanic in Chennai

Immediate Info required about a Matiz service shop in Gurgaon

Guys,
my dad's matiz was being driven by the driver and there seems to have been a minor accident in Gurgaon(the driver somehow managed to dash against/over the median) :-( It seems coolant leak and some front portion damage (i don't have details yet since its happened today).
Now, we know of good Matiz service and repair shops in Noida and East delhi, but since my dad is currently in Gurgaon, the car has been towed to a local workshop (for a first estimate).
Please help with the coordinates of any known good service/repair shops for Matiz in/near Gurgaon ! He needs it quickly to get it back to shape.

Thanks,

hvkumar, thanks for the prompt reply. I'll pass it on but it seems both are 35+ km from where the car is currently. If he was in E. Delhi at his home, there wouldn't be an issue because we know the workshops around there.

Hope, someone could point to possibilities in Gurgaon area ? Maybe, even a very good multi-make garage in Gurgaon, which can do Matiz work ?

Thanks

Spares will not be an issue as we still see many Matiz indian roads still, and more over Spark (new matiz) is back here. Spareparts are easyly avalable in opean market also.

I was reading that Spark is being launched with a 800cc engine (same capacity as the Matiz). Can anyone give some more info about the new 800cc engine ?
