Modify Accent

Hi All,
I am a new member just joined. I am from Noida and am currently in Singapore. I have Accent 2001 Silver and am interested in modifying it when I am back to India soon. Can you please help me with the total expense and where to get the job one?

I would also like to make some minor modification to the engine to increase performance. I am also looking forward to get my Car a paint job as there are various place where I can find RUST(as u must be knowing the water in Noida is very Salty).

Thanks.

Here is a good guide to performance modifications:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modify...-your-car.html

As regards the other mods, you need to provide some more details. Is it just a good paintjob you want, or something more?

Dude, autopscyhe may be expensive but trust me,you'll get the best quality work from him.Well if you need other options, there are loads in delhi

For Body kits you can contact AGM,ASM,Performance zone(yatharth),SpeedBug.These are a few people i know.

For PaintJob:- Autopsyche is the best but another option is Pandit & Co. in okhla. But i think he will also charge you that much or even more.Contact iraghava,He got his city done from them.

For Performance:-I think you are planning a FFE and air filter(Minor Engine mods as specified by you). You can go to Performace zone again or Autozone. Dont go to HPM,Nivit Basin

Again dude i would suggest you go to arush(autopsyche),You'll get all these things under one roof.Dont need to go to different places for different things.

The total cost for your mods would be something around 1 lakh.

Bodykit:- 20 to 40k
Paintjob:- Nice Quality one 40k+
Performance:- 20k

Rough prices to give you an idea.

Pandit will charge you around 36-44k for a paintjob depending on whether you want same colour or colour change.

Thanks for the informative reply. I will try meeting Arush when I am back.
Just one more question: Some background.
Accent 2001 model,
Silver color
Purchased it 2nd Hand in 2005 July.
Last year I spent around 30k in engine overhaul, paint hood and boot, New Tyre, Alloys 14",New model headlamps and back lights, Leather seat covers, Good ICE, Good FE, Low pickup.
Now I am confused on when I return to India, what should i do? Do I buy a new car or spend some more bucks on my current car as I have already spent a lot on it. My only concern is the RUST which is increasing in my Car- in Door Joints and some on ceiling and floor.
Can you all please suggest???

I second others suggesting a new car. Your old Accent won't do justice to the mods you spend for.

Raghu !! Even I want to do some exterior mods to my accent .. I want to add some bling to it

Accent is a good car for mods I feel - Now don't you bhpians start a war OK !!

I would suggest Autopsyche only - he is wayyyyy better than any one else.

You can also try AGM - it is again expensive.

No vkochar, I didn't say anything against modding an Accent. If you look at neeraj's post (quoted above), you can see that his car is deteriorating because it is parked and not driven around.

And hey, I like the way Accent looks - I think the chiseled look is great and the car would look wonderful with mods.
