Alto Lxi - Power Windows

Hey Guys,

I am planning fix a power window kit for my alto but really confused between Autocop and Xenos. Can somebody suggest me which one would be a better choice. Currently I am using a Xenos Security system. Looks wise, autocop fits more with the interior. The sales guy said that Xenos would be better as any problem happens to Security sys or PW both can be attended by the same Xenos guy. I am not convinced with this logic. What do you guys say? Thanks in advance..

What are the prices for Auto cop PW 2 door & 4 Door? Also is the upmodule the device which rolls up the windows once you lock your car ?

There are already more than 2 threads asking about Power window upgrade in Alto.

You've chosen Xenos for the security system already. It makes sense only to go for the same brand. It can be integrated with your security system without much hassles. Don't worry about the service and all. Even autocop is no saint in that department.

I had used the Xenos security system in my Car. The service was not bad at all. It had a lifetime warranty. Since you have the security system, makes sense going for the Power windows of Xenos. It offers one-year warranty. I dont think there is too much of price differential between autocop and xenos. Also ask for the Up-Module for Rs.1500-1800 more, which will automatically roll up the windows when the car is locked from outside.

I have Autocop on my Indica. Works fine till now (about an yr).

The windows seem to roll too fast compared to company fitted power windows. I dont know if this is true even in the case of Xenos.

Costs?

What are the prices for these Power Windows? Also are they worth it? I got a quote of 6K including fitting charges for Autocop Power Windows. The dealer also told me that they offer the best service also. There are also lesser known brands which offer the same functionality albeit at a slightly lower cost.

Dont Mind but i wont suggest to go for it .....as in the aftermarkets one's as one of my friends had put in his Wagon R ...but soon after the end of 1 year the panels came out and the switch got short , the other switch would misfire at times and wont operate.....finally he got them pulled out after 1.5yrs .....rest as you wish......

The Price was for 2 windows. 11K for all 4.
I have also had similar reports from ppl who have installed them in their car & suffered the fate of removing them after some time. However I have heard that the Autocop Power Windows are best suited for small cars. Hence this idea for installing one on my car.

Check out if you could source the Maruti stuff used in the Alto VX and VXi. These had front power windows. May be expensive though. My son's driver side switch panel failed and it cost Rs.1500 for a new one!

Maruti has PW's for Alto & WagonR for after market & I guess they too cost around 6K, although I had got a cost of about 10K more than a year back.. Nothing for the Zen now.
