FFE on Maruti-800

Hi Guys,

I've done these few jobs on my 1997 M-800.
1) Over size Pistons with gold plated polish
2) Forged Rocker arms
3) Heads polished and ported(Mirror Polishing Done)
4) FFE added from Raj-Bangalore
5) Used iridium Platinum Spark plugs
6) Stock K&N Filter
7) Alloy wheels with Tubeless Bridgestones with Nitrogen.

I just want to know what happens to the car after all this,

I feel its quick, but not aware about its long term performance,

Will the engine life reduce because of this?

Its a daily car and returning a mileage of 17 kmpl with Shell petrol.

How do i know what is the new BHP of the car?

Will post pics about changes in interiors done.

I Still feel it lacks a bit of power, Anyone out there knows that i still require to do something more let me know.

I am not going on any track with this car, This is my first car and is very dear to me.

whooper, thats a lot of work on an M800. What stopped you from using a conical air filter?

And thts a nice mileage. Who did the porting and polishing?

Go to the KS sports for checking out the bhp as they have the dyno.

Conical or stock replacment K&N would not help much unless the carb is upjetted.

What's a gold plated finish on the piston?? Or did you get the pistons gold anodized? Why?

2) Forged Rocker arms
Isn't the stock rocker arms forged? Any benefits over the stock rocker arms? I doubt.

3) Heads polished and ported(Mirror Polishing Done)
Who did the work? How's the compression?

What speeds is the car doing now? Could you tell me the in-gear speeds?

Yes you could do one more small mod and it'll give a noticeable difference

Astalavista baby!

Wow! Would love to see your car, Pavan.

Has it got a/c? Did the mods make a diff while driving with a/c ON?

I want to know that too, because the 0.8 ltr engine is a pain with the a/c on.

pavan,
that a lot of work and hope you get the corresponding performance; well, atleast the MHP (Mental Horse Power!) due to the K&N (Check the discussion on K&N filter to know more about MHP).

Hi,

The porting and Polishing was done by Bangalore Motor Works mechanic who is a pro at Harley Davidson and other imported bikes in Bangaluru-Lalbagh Road.
