Have driven some of them and trust me by the time you reach 20psi itself you might want to rethink approches taken and the deep pockets you will need to have been born with. like they say with "more power comes more responsibility" similarly "with more power come more staggering failures" till you get it right and wouldnt want to blow it again hence you park it on one side. Those are primarily show cars and I can make a 8 PSI daily driven car to look like it is putting out more than 20 psi but that is not the point, the point is drivability you can't go fast if you keep wheelspinning and I know a lot of boys here would agree to that nightmare.

PS: before we look west or east for that matter we need to understand where we are at prior to just doing what they have done, the theory and practice are 2 completely different animals, and with a swift over 10 psi on tap all the time would be a bit too quick to drive around in the city.

as for the cost 1.4l is for the basic turbo in car setup but there are alot more things u need such as brakes , clutch , big rims and tyres etc
I am sure you almost dont give a damn about your swift now : - but man i cant believe you were running on a STOCK oil filter.

CANT believe KS didnt highly recommend it.

Hell yes 1.4 is the BASIC set up.

Crazy man , you running a turbo swift with the purolator oil filter?
Didnt know you had a turbo'd swift petrol , if you dont mind how much boost you running man?

I know he has/had issues with his fuel pump but i thought the water pump was doing it's job well enough.

cyneverdie, why do you think a non-OE type oil filter is better? Did you hear of any issues that you/anyone else had with a stock filter?

Hey man , firstly the old mobil 1 [ 1997 ] did eat up the oil filters insides , occasionally the oil filter at the end of it would just be an empty shell.

2ndly I am a high performance driver I know my car and it's feel - couple of times I had to use a stock oil filter for a few days as the K&N wasn't available and then when I did put in the K&N oil filter I immediately felt a minor but very noticeable difference especially at the red line man.

Firstly do i have to talk abut the superiority of the K&N oil filter as compared to purolator?
Well small tit-bits - - i recently saw "fresh stock" purolator oil filters for the swift and the IKON , both had RUST in them !!! you could smell the rust too.

Rs 100 VS rs 1000
double OE spec ie 550 psi burst strength
heavy duty construction [ stone damage etc ]
10-20 micron filter
improved flow rates
blah blah check it out on their website

many times in mumbai the oil filter has been out of stock , so i have run purolator for a couple of days before changing to K&N and trust me the difference is obvious

well i don't know why, but there is not a single aftermarket turbo-system manufacturer (I don't mean in India, I mean worldwide) who recommends using a non-OE oil filter. Synthetic oil. yes, but aftermarket filter, no.

And, oil filter part numbers for a factory turbo car are EXACTLY the same as the non-turbo version. Maybe all these people are stupid.

Maybe all these people dont know maruti suzuki india , purolator abroad is a whole different scene.

PS : I felt the difference , I know the difference.

oooo you JUST edited it ; ]
Was going to say : please don't patronize me man- I know what mental hp is.

And yes man minor but a definite difference for someone like me who redlines every day.

PS: Its doesn't have to be a .001 HP increment like you said ; its a happier more eager more at ease engine man. Definite increased flow rate + it takes 150ml more oil too , happily that too.
