Possible to merge the wires of the new autogauge with the existing rpm wires? Perhaps it wouldn't make a difference to the ecu if two tachos are being used via the same signal.

Hey,
Any one with experience on installing Tacho on M.Gypsy carb??
Have read the manuals but installing it on carb through distributor isin't explained properly.
Tried connecting the signal wire to the -ive connector of coi l- that connects to distributor, but only to find that tacho needle picks up a bit but comes back slowly like if a capacitor is being discharged.
Any inputs to install tacho on carb gypsy with contact type distributor are welcomed.
