![]() with my limited knowledge and reserch, i can say that 3M is better in rejecting heat.., but again depends with whome u r comparing! definitely not better than VCool in rejecting heat. But then vcool is 4-5 times costlier!! 50 means 50% visibility, 70 means 70% visibility.. 35 is not legaly allowed (in delhi atleast) i guess santro lie in category A.. Safari would be in B.. the diff in cost between A and B is some rs500 (approx) I donot know any 3M dealer in Delhi, i am going through a local accessories shop, who will purchase it from the dealer and install it.. I do not have the exact price and thats why i started this thread.. Anyhow.. once i get it done (this saturday), i will update everyone with the cost..

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Did you check out RE-35 ? It is supposed to be one of the best of 3M sun films and has good heat rejection. Gives the car a luxurious look too. It costed me 4000 INR for my Esteem 4 years ago. Last edited by rr_zen : 28th February 2008 at 21:59. |

![]() RE is the best.. and that why decided to go for RE 70 (max permissible limit) for the windshield, as max heat comes from the f windshield.. the approx cost that the shop owner told me for RE70, windshield is 2k. he was not sure of the price as he could not contact the 3M dealer at that time.. Will ask him the final price tomorrow and most probably go for the installation on saturday.

![]() Akshay, I wud lov to put RE35, but again 35 is not legally permitted.. The max i can go for is RE50.. Will check the rate for the same.. Is it advisable to put the film on the rear windshield from outside!! I donot want to put it on the defogger lines!! If not then, i'll better not put them..

![]() Finally going for HP50 for sides and back and RE70 for the front.. breakup: 2.4k(sides+back)+2.6k(front). total =5K the cost of CS50 and RE35 are same = 3.3k Wanted to go for RE35 as the total heat rejected was 59% (for HP50 its 35%), but as i wrote earlier, 35% visibility is not legally allowed.. And i could not justify 900 extra for CS50 (with some shading coeff +glare red and less heat reduction:33%) This was for the A Category.. For santro/swift/getz it will be the same price.. if its a big car, like scorpio/safari/endy, then the cost will be different.. 400-500 extra..
