Now my dealer said it cannot be used with the OEM horns

It'll be just great if I can use it with the OEM horn. Are you using it with the OEM horn?? How will it generate the musical sound with a OEM electrical horn??

Melody maker can be installed with the OEM horn, its just that you need pair of horns. Most of the cars have just one OEM horn, to install melody maker you would need to install another horn. most of the aftermarket horns come in pairs.

I just got this installed in my car and it cost me Rs 830 .
MICO BOSCH Symphony Rs 530
Local make melody maker Rs 175 (since I was not able to find Roots)
Installation and switch Rs 125

Looks like a musical horn to me. The ones that you see in jazzy buses and cabs.

6. Thumping loud muisc blaring inside the vehicle - What levels are acceptable??? Do the cops need to have a SPL meter with them? Is it illegal to have a tabla playing on your ICE (because it thumps) and legal to have a shenai or flute playing at equal volumes????

Some rules in MV Act are stupid.... and deserve to be broken

IMO

Horn Controllers work for Pressure horns as a Melody Maker works for regular electrical horns.

Horn Controllers are more advanced since they can make the pressure horns sound musical whereas Melody Maker just alternates the tone to 1-2-1-2 or 11-22-11-22 or 121-121-121 etc.

If you have seen the Stebel website where they have musical pressure horns which play tunes like Tequila / Dixie / O Sole Mio - these use the horn controllers.
