Maruti 800 Modification assistance required.

Hi all,

I have a Maruti 800 - 1992 model which I am planning to modify, at present I am just targetting towards fitting a body kit (side skirts, front and rear bumpers), a spoiler (please refer to the image attached) and new Tyres.

I live in Baroda, Gujarat. Can someone please assist me by providing some contact details of some dealer from whom I can purchase the above. I can go max upto Ahemdabad or Mumbai, or may be I can have the stuff shipped to my place.

I am dying to fit this spoiler on my Maruti 800, Please help me out with this one...

Side skirts and spoilers on an 800, if not done extremely well, will surely get u an entry in the weird and whacky thread!!

i agree with jayd, just put a good set of mag wheels, paint the bumper body color, paint the b pillar black, put a light tint cooling paper, this would be more than enough to enhance the looks of your car, dont over do it,can spoil the looks as well as the ride.

Hi Buddy,

I agree with desigNation.

simple steps for mods are good.

Watch my thread FFE on my M-800,

I've followed simple but yet effective method.

let me know what you've done.

Modification on a car should have more of a refined attribute than picturing a gross unimaginable frame. I would suggest that you take it slowly and start with basic cosmetic mods. Have a clear idea of how you want your M800 to look.

Don't killl the original aesthetic value of it by doing something else. Start by choosing the colour for your car. Painting the bumper with body colour (as mentioned in the earlier post). Choose body kits that would blend with the vehicle design. In my opinion, the bumper you have shown is awesome but I have my doubts having it on M800.

It's your call finally.

In the mean time, if you guys have any idea please let me know, I want to mount a sports spoiler on the top side of the boot space door. Also can you give me an idea, how much will the mags cost for all 5 wheels. I am running a little low on cash as I just bought my new Estillo two weeks back

Putting a spoiler on hatchbacks just ruins the car in my opinion.
Whats the rim size of the 800?

A set of 4 - 14 inch alloys come for around 12 grand in mumbai.

just go for 13" inch alloy wheels .it will give a great look. see my garage i also own m800. alloys will cost you around 10k and tyres according to your choice . according to me go for 165/65 r13. just dont spoil the looks of car by doing extra jobs. "simple is the best"

I would change them when the originals go dull or crack up...I planning to make ones with LED's ...working on it at the moment at home...no time to sit on it as it would take me a whole of 2 days to make 1 side likewise I have to carefully cut & make holes & install the LED Panel...then install the clear glass...
