Guys, Please help me get internally adjustable OVRMs for my new Alto. Also, will I get concave mirrors? Were the Alto VXi/Zen VXi mirrors concave or plain? The stock ones are useless and are plain mirrors. I'm so used to the Swift mirrors which are huge and are concave.

I searched in a few shops in JC road. But they have the ones which are plain. Please help...

Blue_pulsar, you mean convex mirrors, I think!
You will not find concave ones in the market.

Convex mirrors give you a wider field view.

Electrically adjustable ORVM for WagonR

The case of my right ORVM got broken today by a truck, which too close.

Any idea about the price for electrically adjustable ORVM for Wagon R? Can I just get the frame? The motor and mirror are intact. The frame is black.

Thanks for your inputs.

@aroop
You should definitely try Mullick Bazaar for the frame before spending on the entire assembly. Most the guys selling mirrors operate from the sidewalk in front of the bazaar. It will be prudent to park your car a safe distance away & walk the last bit. You might want to have the broken frame removed by your regular mechanic & carry it with you.
Best of luck.

Thanks Nura. I will definitely check that option.

Meanwhile, I went to Maruti Link, an A.S.S. at Salt Lake, and got to know that the unit will have to be replaced, and comes with a price tag of 8005 INR

They cushioned the blow by mentioning that insurance will cover it, but only to the tune of 50% and I will have to pay 500 as policy access charges.

Since I would have to access the policy anyway, I might as well get some small scratches fixed

Hi all,

Well I just contacted EngineTech Systems in Pune and spoke to a Mr. Nitin Pawar from sales. I wanted to enquire about electrically foldable OVRMs for my Swift. However, I got very disappointing news that mirrors sold/manufactured by EngineTech are for Tata vehicles only :-(

Do any of the Tata OVRMs fit the Swift? Besides I love the Swift mirrors as they are nice and big and give amazing rear view. Tata mirrors are pretty small.

Electric ORVMs is what I look for in a car after aircon, power steering and tachometer. It is more important to me than power windows ( since I never lower windows ). Wonder why manufacturers skimp on this essential feature. Swift is a great car. It got everything going for it. Except powered ORVMs. Even Dzire doesn't have it while their own tiny stablemate, Estilo has it. Beats me why. Is it too much to ask for and expect? It is about time MUL introduced one for Swift.
