Bangalore: Santro repainting costs?

Someone scratched left front door, left right door and left side boot of Santro. I know that Santro don't have a boot, but don't know the name of that; so mentioned that as boot.

Searched the forum but could not find any posts related to cost for repainting. If any one of you have repainted your santro, could you please throw some light on that ?

Check it with Ranjth Auto Care, Koramanagala [25537944]. I had once taken a quote from him for painting Santro (dont remember the rates now). But I found it reasonable at that time. Do mention t-bhp to Ranjith.

Thanks for your reply.

You could do a claim with your insurance company. But you will lose NCB (no claim bonus). NCB is the % reduction you get for your premium every year incase you dont do any claim. You could check with your insurance company what is your current NCB and check if it is worth going for insurance claim or paying from hand. Also doing a claim becomes a record and you might have to explain to a buyer incase you plan to sell your car later. It is better to keep the records clean.

Get a quote and see how much it comes. I guess it might come in the range of 3 to 4k depending on the touch up required for each door.

I got it repainted for 9K from hyundai service station (insurance funded it). I was told that the paint job would similar to the factory painted ones.

Yes, it looked similar but not the same as done in factory.

What is the cost if someone wants to get the whole colour changed. Like from Silver to White. Is that advisable or no ?

I have no plans of doing this. Just a thought.

Many of us might be having minor scratches here and there in our cars..
Do the Body shops actually offer to touch it up for free .. when we give our cars for service ?
Is that touch up really effective ??

Man i say its better to leave your car with scratches and a little dents.

With the Bangy city growing like giant pumpkins, how do you drive without touching your next car or bike.

I've got my 800 painted twice over a period of 5 yrs , and the Matiz got a small dent recently.

Smaller cars thats the probs guys.

None messes around when i drive my Safari or my VW around town.

But the smaller cars get a raw deal.

I think you need to live with such things.
