man that'll be not possible with just the box for the magnum AFAIK.... though it'll no doubt be a scorcher.. A DIESEL SCORCHER. No competition until the laura vrs D comes out

BTW would love to see the box for the safari.. wondering 140 bhp to 170bhp and torque from 320 nm to 375 nm

Dockap acc to BUSA the box will be released for the magnum in a week or so though only he or petes himself could confirm the same

hi peter is the scorpio box by psi or some other brand? the reason im asking is because the psi site dosent say anything about the mahindra box. its normally frequently updated.

Yes we have launched the box for the Scorpio 2.6 Crde and 2.2 Mhawk. Also for the Chevrolet Captiva and the Optra Magnum. Our site will be updated in a few days time.And ofcourse all done by PSI. Reg how we managed the Scorpio box. PSI guys were here for R&D and testing.

All the boxes cost Rs 31200/- and the power increase will be around 25%.

And by the way they are available ready stock.

So that makes mHawk 150 Bhp!

MM designed it to do 140bhp but had to detuned coz they said the gear box wont take the extra power.

1) Is it true?
2) If it isnt true the, is it coz the Scorpio wont be stable at higher speeds or sort?

I read on the forum that it was detuned to meet emission norms?

the scorpio will be fine in a straight line. and anyway, just because the car gets pete'd doesnt mean its going to be driven at 160kmph all the time.

It just means you can get to higher speeds quicker if you want to.
and if you are still worried about the handling- get the bilsteins.

I'm saying this because, I was worried about whether my swift without the ABS would be able to handle the tuning box, but I found that, I was still driving at my usual comfortable speed of 100-120 inspite of having more power and torque. just that I was getting there faster, thats all!

the same thing will happen with a pete'd scorpio.

JK is feeling jealous because the safari hasnt got a pete's box out yet

guys Safari cannot be used with a Box, its not reliable!!!!
Delphi system is waste as per PSI guys and yes its not that organised as a Bosch system the ones which do duty in Scorpio. and for you guys kind info
150bhp in Scorpio with petes tuning box is absolutely fine!!
i was informed that the 2.6CRDe can infact go 160bhp easily!!
and 2.2 Mhawk can also go to same 160-170bhp!! insane.
but yes petes box has done the safe thing not to exceed rated outputs

and keep the engines safe!!

and yes over here in my office ..we do this so called remapping all the time!!
flash - test - not ok - flash again - test - ok it goes on..and this flashing is what is known as Remap!! . flashing a normal code into ECU is Mapping and flashing a modified Code into ECU is known as Remapping.
the PSI guys have my email address with them .. will help them out if they want to make a tuning box for safari .
but its not gonna be easy. and for the fiesta. they use the better versions of delphi- slighter costlier ones.. but not the indian designed delphi sysytems and that too when it is made for tata ..the injection system will be running with a hell lot of lesser sensors which makes tuning it horrible..
the Mahindra Box is value for money proposition in mHawk. its got ABS too meaning its more safe also.
