Hardening esteem suspension

Hi All,

I have an esteem that could do with a suspension change(70k done) and i have two options:

1. Rebuild dampers and stiffen them up (don't know how succesful this would be)
2. Get stiffer dampers and/or springs

I am not very comfortable with the first option as I'm not very sure how reliable the modified dampers would be.

For the second option, since I'm a cheapskate I cannot afford konis and the like

I was thinking if the Esteem D struts and springs would be stiffer and do the job. Are they stiffer than the ones on the petrol esteems ?

Regards,

Amit
