Why not come and drive my car which has the Green Wind Filter installed!!! You can get the feel of the filter and see for yourself whether it is better than the K&N or not!!!!
Thats certainly a good idea will drive your car and check ????

Dear Friends,
I am planning to fit a K&N filter for my Alto LXi. Please suggest me the model of the filter and cost. And where in Bangalore I can get the filter.

Please let me know if I fit the K&N Filter
1. Does it affect the warranty by Maruti Udyog?
2. Any change in the sound?

please help.

You havent mentioned if you want the stock replacement filter or the performance filter. AFAIK changing the air filter does void the warranty. Yeah, the sound will differ. Believe me, you ll love it. You may contact Methods automotive for the filter. They are located near Lavelle Road. Availabilty should not be a problem. There are n number of places where you can get an air filter in Bangalore.

Hi swift8847,
Thanks for your replay. I don't have much idea about the "stock replacement filter or the performance filter.". What is the difference. and which is the better one. I am looking for more power out of it without loosing the milage.

If you are looking for performance then its got to be the performance filter. But the increment is marginal. You'll have to replace the new filter with the air filter element. The mileage will depend on your driving.

@girishbhat: well i would recommend a stock replacement filter as the conical ones needs care or else go for CAI (eg: green cotton)

Are you sure about that? K&N also uses cotton filters, not paper.

Slightly off topic. But has any one added filter to Fiat Adventure? Would it be worth it? Thanks

Guys, which one would be a better deal for the petrol swift? The KN CAI or the Green cotton filter? The deciding parameters : performance, reliability and cost.
