What does H1, H3, H4, H7 etc specifications of bulbs mean?

Helooo guys.

What does H1, H3, H4, H7 etc specifications of bulbs mean?

Which is better?

they are all different bulb sizes. there isnt any better or worse. it just depends on which size your car has. h4 has both high and low beam built into one. h7 and h1.etc have only 1 beam.

you mean h4 has a main bulb and also a pilot bulb along with it?

no h4 is one bulb with 2 filaments.

then what is a bulb along with a pilot bulb called ?

will blue light increase illumination at night ?

No thats not true. It has only 1 filament, but has something like a reflector built into the bulb which moves when you shift the stalk in the car and thus changes the focus from High Beam to Low Beam.

i dont think thats right. thats what happens in hi/lo HIDs. i dont think normal h4 halogens have this moving reflector thingy.

in a headlight there are two bulbs. the main bulb and a pilot/park bulb. right? so do these come as one set or do we buy them seperately?

so that means the main bulb and the pilot/park bulb don't come as a set and that you'll have to buy them seperately ?

i have seen them as a set by philips. i thin they were blue vision. but you do also get the pilot bulbs separately for around rs150 or so for 2 leds.

H4 Xenon has two filaments. One for high beam and one for low beam.

No, S600BENZ, you are wrong there.

In the H4 bulb, as akshay1234 has mentioned, there are two filaments : one for the high-beam, and the other for the low-beam.
