Maruti 800 Restoration Project

I am having a Maruti 800 of 1988 model now i going to restore and do some modification like Type I to Type - II. So i want to share my exprience with all our team. I am also posting pics of work done till date.

@mituadas:Are you going for cosmetics mods alone or performance ones too?

From the looks of it cosmetics is gonna be the easy part! and show us the engine i have to see it

This is the look of engine.Any way first i will go for cosmetic work. After that i will go for performance modification.

Nice that you have taken up th restoration job. I would have prefered to keep it in original type I. I see that you have already got type II fenders. Keep us posted. All the best!

I would suggest you to maintain the originality and if possible get SGP parts for the restoration.
First try to get hold of a PARTS manual and a Workshop manual of SB308IN

This denter is too slow and iregular. so i am getting delay in progress. Any way some pic till date works.

Best of luck and try to get proper three point retractable seatbelts for your car. The present ones on your are purely cosmetic.

The floorboards are very rusty, do you plan to repair them? They look like the need to be worked upon.

which colour shade you will be using to paint your car . i would suggest you to paint it black with body coloured bumpers it will look nice and unique

are you getting the rims, doors pads, dashboard changed and steering wheel changed

is the cars original colour brown
