I think from all this, the only good which has come out is sameel's very informative post.

I am sure Akshat has a very fast car, but not 0-100 in 5 sec fast

A couple of corrections to sameels' post.

There are stock vehicles.. diesel.. who run over 14psi boost and FGT. Actually in extreme conditions i believe the engine which i was testing could run 20psi boost. But anyway it was a truck engine.

if i were him i would have bought the L&K version in the first place. and 0-100, people owning porsche and ferraris, sell that and buy a base model laura to go faster and save money too. not into technical at all so not getting into the argument in the first place... i like the rims.

Hi Sameel, I loved your post and I always love posts that are full of informations and technical terms. But sadly I did not understand a single figure from the whole post, sorry, me not in the automobile field. My bro-in-law owns Skoda octavia as well as BMW 7 series in Bangalore (skoda silver colour KL-5 registration and BMW Black KA-05 MC registration), I have never heard him commenting an achievement of 0-100 in anything less than 8 seconds in both cars. Will check with him on weekend. Informative posts are always value added to this forum. Good work !

...a nearly 1.7 tonne car at 170BHP will never do 0-100KMS in 5.2.
Period.

The M3 is 420BHP car and it does it in close to 4.8.

How are you timing?

Akshat,

I am not going to comment on your supposed acceleration times; enough has been said already. That said, the car is a stunner! Great choice of colour and alloy wheels.

Guess I made a boo boo.. my bad..

0-100 is 9 secs, 0-60 5.2 secs...

Changed the tires since the PP2s were useless (Too much noise). Got the Pirelli P7 225/50/R17 98Y. No noise and slightly better cornering..

The car will get Remus Catback today as well as the L&K MFD in the Instrument Cluster (In between the Speedo and Tacho)

Next I am waiting the MFD2 to be here as well as the Blaupunkt CD for navigation... The MFDs is to sexy for words...

With the MFD, the car's 8 speakers will be changed either to Boston Accoustics or Bose, depending on what I get when I am in the UK next month. I am also putting in a Rockford Fosgate Sub (215D2 with 1000 RMS) and amp.

Also, will be getting the memory front seats as well as Stanley Nappa Beige Leather...

Btw, the interior installation will be done through VAS which is Skoda's equivalent to VAG-COM. If anyone is intersted, google VAS 5051/5052B to see its capabilities..

Again, sorry for the timings..

Few people have the courage to accept their mistakes. Hats off to you, Akshat, it takes a lot of courage.

Let me add, you've got a great car. Take care of it.
