carbonfiber, atleast the real stuff, is bloody expensive because it isnt easy to fabricate. it has the stiffness of steel or so, and is six time lighter. used on cars like the enzo and the mclaren slr. also used in street racers to reduce weight. also in tennis racquets!

cheers

Hi v1p3r,

That’s interesting …. But he told that it can not be painted to match each cars.......That guy is bringing some cool products to India but all are expensive……so carbon fiber are lighter than aluminum ????? But I don’t think it will suit my octavia…..Thanks for explaining about the carbon fiber.

In all probability, it could be a regular frp spoiler with a carbon fibre effect film stuck on it (thats how most of the hoods are as well), you might want to confirm that and what was the price anyway?

model art at the forum in bangalore is now selling original momo keychains. the cheapest is 450. the most expensive is 950, because 70% of that little thing is carbonfiber. worth every paisa, when you hold in your hands the same thing that sits on a mclaren f1, a mclaren slr, an enzo and an f40 and f50!

Carbon fiber with straight grain

Did you lift it up and see, if very light then it is very good CF.
If bit heavy then a cheapo.
However this is not a real pic.

they are for sure carbon fiber. the owner of pjspeedshop is a good friend of mine. i checked those spoilers out as soon as they landed. these spoilers are too big to be fitted on compact saloons. he recently sold out his stock to a few guys with mondeos ,etc in mumbai.
