Diagonistic machine at MASS or any other machine cannot detect the powerbox, except physically, and most stringent of norms, TUV of germany has certified its use.

For more info read the faq at PSI motorsport.

Well please add- IF he is not drunk too.

Btw,
from whatever driving i have been doing after the installation, i find the car a bit more refined.Earlier, if i revved her above 3.5K RPM, she used to sound crudish and felt as if i am abusing her.Now it doesnt feel like that.
I dont know if this is true, maybe its just me but even at lower RPMs the engine sound seems lower and so are the vibrations.
Say for example if i am crusing in 5th gear at around 60-80 Kmph, it feels like a petrol car,its that silent and smooth.
Can be a psychological thing too but thats what i experienced.

Misprint?
The graph is fine.
The red line is horsepower (scale in red on the left of the graph) - you would notice it peaking at 55KW.
The blue line is torque (scale in blue on the right of the graph) - peaks at 190NM.

these powerboxes works best in turbocharged vehciles only. So an indica turbo can be the best bet.

BTW what fuel pump is used in non-dicor indica?? i meant which make??

The PSI FAQ says so about the following Indian cars:
Quote:
the Safari, Indigo & Scorpio, though turbo diesel are not controlled by a modern ECU hence they cannot be fitted with a power box.
Now what is this modern ECU thing?? Can anyone explain? Now does it mean that Indian cars are not technically advanced, still??

I agree MASS cannot detect the box (except physically open the bonnet etc), but it's still a very good idea to take it off each time the car gets sent for service.

If any critical engine/drivetrain component fails, MASS will immediately blame the box and void warranty! It IS a fact that the box places more stress on such components simply because people rev and speed more when 'boxed' :-)

The sticker doesn't prove anything!!

Amee, has the turbo lag reduced? Do your brakes have enough juice to stop the car while it lugs you and Shrivz around?

Please be assured that I will be perfectly sober until I leave from here. I am not responsible for what happens in the aircraft.

siralec , AFAIK Petes dont make boxes for any of the Tata Cars as they use the Dephi CRDI system.
