That's great news. I'm sure some great constructive criticism will be relayed, but don't be discouraged, all good products get revised until perfection. I/we all look forward to a new/better product with unique qualities lacking in other products(myself the lighter nature is most interesting). Like I have mentioned before.. if this proves itself.. I'm here to help the US distribution.

Thanks dude, but this product isnt light...

The lighter dampening sheet is another project altogether, planned for later.

Let me learn to walk before I try to run.

Ramie
I am sorry in advance dude, for the small sample size I had to dispatch. The limited adhesive limited the sample size.

Once I get some basic feedback from you guys, and if you approve, I ll do the second batch really quick

Best wishes to your efforts. When you're ready to sell, count me in as one of the customers.

To test the ease of removal/ re-usability, I tried removing the dampening sheet from a metal surface, and it is NOT easy. The rubber is EXTREMELY sticky and the adhesive doesn't want to give. Finally had to use kerosene to get rid of the adhesive.

I successfully removed it but I ended up destroying the dampening sheet completely. The painted metal surface was however not damaged in any way.

Can anybody confirm if Dynamat Extreme is reusable? because currently, my dampening sheet is not ..

Some experience...

In my experience, Dynamata Extreme is re-usable.

Case in point was usage of a 1 x 1 foot square unit twice over.

Originally plastered in the boot area of the car.

After a about a month or two, the rear doors needed some additional dampening and obviously the need to pick up another complete pack for some additional touch-up was insane.

Hence, product was re-used.

However, based on some googlin - i had to heat the surface before i could pull it out completely. Eventually, it was re-used and i dont think it has fallen off the 2nd area of application. Simply becasue i did'nt hear the rear door rattle post application.

This is however, a square foot measurement re-usage only. Large applications may vary though.

A question arises here.

Once you've managed to tear off the application - does the glue still have enough effect to be re-used. Or do you need re-application of thinner & glue to get going again.

Fair enough, this just means the second/lighter product will have more knowledge/experience behind it when it gets worked on.. I'll watch and wait in the mean time.

Wow this is great. AbhiJ, you seem to have all the right stuff - identifying a need in the market, in dept product expertise, and the understanding that things are never going to work as expected the first few times. I am in when it becomes commercially available.

Also I wouldn't mind if the mat were not reusable if its going to cost quite less than that of Dynamat.

Hi AbhiJ,

Great work, as i have said before.

However, do note - Due to the policies of Team-BHP, as soon as this material completes the DIY / R&D phase it will be treated the same way as all other commercial products on Team-BHP.

Just wanted to point that out in advance.
