No. That mod job was not done by Dilip AFAIK. But you can contact the members from Pune if you're really interested. They can guide you to someone who can do a nice job instead of a wacky one like this.

All the best.

I posted one thread but couldnt get any reply regarding who can do the job. I dont know how to contact the members in Pune ( only used thread as the medium not pm because many hate receiving random pm and directly advise to post the thread ). And yes, I am really interested.

As I said Esteem would be a great car to start with.
Heres some proof:
Modification of Indian car into a convertible-esteem-top.jpg
(got it off from google images)

Now you need to find someone good enough to be able to carry out such modifications.

Thats not an aftermarket chop job, its built that way from the factory itself.

The reason we don't recommend an aftermarket chop job is not because of how it will look, but rather because of how dangerously it will drive.

Don't think GTO meant to say that. He musta have meant to say that it's a 2 door covertible offered by Suzuki as a standrad model elsewhere in the world.

Guys if it's just a convertible you need and not worried about the performance and the inherent niggles that come FOC alongwith the car why don't you check out on a Sanstorm?

Am running out of this place .

San Storm?

Why bother with imports and mods when we have our very own (desi) convertible in the form of San Storm.

I work in Whitefield in Bangalore, have seen the Storm a couple of times a couple of years ago. I wonder if it was ever launched??

I have seen good modifications done on Matiz to convertible model, and one in Calicut, Kerala, looks so cute too..

I think swift, Matiz, zen (older version), ikon etc models will be apt for such work. If there is proper desin concept and planning done, one can sure, convert their car to topless sexy ones

The San Storm was launched some years ago. The factory is still producing them in Goa though mostly for export.

The San storm is available in 40,000 shades and you can choose the upholstry, tyres, rims etc. You can also see your car being manufactured. The issues with the car can be sorted out at the factory. We must remember that this is not a mainstream car. You buy it if you already have a car and got some extra cash after that. I got a friend at the factory if anyone is interested in a visit.
