Do you have to take your engine out for this painting?

@ Ramie Start reading from post# 48, but for some hilarious stuff read from beginning

@ Crazydiablo The engine is out of the Bay & so will be the entire wiring/pipes etc, i have something nice planned up for the Engine Bay so keep watching for the updates.

P.S : i haven't found any buyer for my alloys yet,the painting job should be over in next 10-15 days max, i will then have to trade in with the tyre dealer then for which i wont get good pricing

I think the AE86 came with both types and so did the AE85's.

Ford Rocam,

I am impressed. This car has already got me drooling with the color combination and wheel choice.
Waiting to see pics soon.
By the way, what size are your wheels?

@Ford Rocam, can you please let me know what kind of painting you are getting done? Is this a dip painting or the spray painting? Also can you let me know which paint you are using on the car? Did you source it from out or was it easily available in India?

This looks like Ranjit's garage (AR Motorsport).

@ Vinayvtec - It will be spray painting as dip painting is only done at factory level in India to the best of my knowledge and the paint would mostly be Standox but only Jitu can confirm that.

Actually i am going with Dupont, almost everything from primer to paint.

Work in full swing

Got the sample of the paint

Apart from that i have plans for some simple mods to my current Dashboard using carbon fibre sheets. eg: pic of swift with carbon fibre from Carbon fibre sheets thread
Colour combinations for my Turbocharged Honda City-picture-172.jpg
I plan to use very little only on dashboard, mainly centre console & right & left A/C vents. The Dash board also will recieve some minor updates which i will post up later.

Now something for which i had not planned earlier. The Seats.
custom front seats with a color combination which will go in contrast with body color something like this
The seats will be something like this (this is only an example)
Colour combinations for my Turbocharged Honda City-seats.jpg
But it will be of this shade/color
Colour combinations for my Turbocharged Honda City-maroonshade.jpg
The seats will be the last & might not happen immediately after a paint job cause i have not budgeted the costs of it, but it will be there for sure.

Dip is only for coating not painting
