you need to apply the cleaner before the wash, spray the cleaner on chain & leave it for 10 -15 mins.. then water wash & allow the chain to dry & then apply chain lube.. i think this is the right procedure.. correct me if i am wrong..

gladiator RS also has similar chain to R 1 5...

I got Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 fo my swift petrol. Now wondering if this one suits it because company recomends 15w40(if i am not mistaken). Can some one pls confirm.

BTW I got it for 2700 for 4ltrs.

Also is there an Expiry date for these synthetic engine oils?

5w40 works fine on the swift. No need to worry. I used it a couple of times on my car.

Does the temperature drop as much to necessitate 5W40? This grade of oil is meant for cooler chimes at higher altitudes. 15W40 would work perfectly fine for you. Have you tried Mobil 1?

GD sir the problem is that Shell ultra helix 15w40 is not available easily. Everywhere in Bangalore I have seen only 5w40.

Moving to Mobil1 ful syn

I was planning to move to fully synthetic engine oil on my next service. From the various forums on this topic, the recommeded one by most bhpians seems to be mobil1. Now i also understand an engine flush is essential when i do this change over. Could someone suggest the best place in Blore where i can get a proper flush, with the use of right lubs and then move to mobil1. half the guys dont even know what the engine flush is here. suggest, and also what will be cost for the whole stuff with mobil1.

If you need Selenia, you can goto Concorde Motors, Mysore Road, service centre and buy the same.
They have Selenia Motor K 5W40 Fully synthitic oil. It is available in 5lts can and I think in 1lts can too (though I'm not sure).

I bought 5lts can for 2200/- and I guess for a 1ltr bottle it may cost around 550/-

This synthetic oil is being used in FIAT Linea Petrol.

Hi Friends,

I called up a shop in JC road and they were quoting 850 rs/litre for Mobil 1. Is that a right price? Please PM me with contact details from where I can get Mobil1 in Bangalore. I am very much afraid about the fake products. So send me any contacts you personally know or is trust worthy.

Many Thanks
